In the end, I learned many skills as a designer and partner. I noticed that you need to include others input because every and any idea is important. I also learned that things will never come out as expected and it might come out better or worst and you just have to embrace it and learn to fix it or not. Also, I learned that you cannot make everyone like your taste because everyone is unique. Overall, this was a very fun and creative project, that taught me many traits like communication, patience, and teamwork.

Norms
Norms are standards of proper or acceptable behavior. As a community standards are a high quality to have because it creates a better working organization of any type. Adding to that, when you're working having norms makes you more professional, mature, and diligent. These characteristics are one of the few keys to functioning in any job task or group work. For example; having the norms of being respectful. You don't want to interrupt someone while they're speaking during a presentation or in any conversation. Also, having the norms of good civil service. As a citizen you it's important to have this trait. Overall, as a an individual, you should set norms for yourself to be a better person. http://theliteracybooth.blogspot.com/2015/10/setting-norms.html

Sustainable fashion
Sustainable fashion (eco fashion) a growing design and trend that many designers and companies are creating. The goal for sustainable fashion is to make a system that supports the use of recyclable or human impact on the environment and social responsibility items. The materials to create any type of fashion item varies. You can use, natural fibers, cellulose, protein, recycled fibers, upcycled fibers, and more. One of the designers and companies that have created sustainable styles and are well known are, SVILU, H&M, A Peace of Treaty all of this labels of created their designs with natural materials. Sustainable fashion is typically more expensive than clothing produced by conventional methods. The reason is because all the materials used are more organic and authentic. While researching sustainable fashion. I've come to find that its growing world-wide and more companies are investing into that specific area. Overall I also saw a few designers that are actually located here in the bay area, in San Francisco. I think it's amazing to actually have designers so close by us. We as student should have the opportunities to go seek for them now that we are young and have the chance to start our lives into adulthood.

Valentino Pre-Fall 2017-2018 Full Runway Fashion Show Collection
Valentino Pre-Fall 2017-2018 Full Runway Fashion Show Collection has been shown yesterday. The runway looked amazing! The looks were absolutely beautiful, but I wouldn't refer to this collection of being Pre-Fall I see it as of a Gloomy Spring Collection. I can tell that Valentino, played with lots of garden earth tones. Many of them actually reminded me of Japan, with many blossoms, etc. I can really notice that he introduced the Japanese culture throughout this collection. Many of the gowns also looked very magistic, which I love that aspect of fashion! Others were looked very unfitted and dark, but yet floral. I think he introduced the floral pattern with dark colors to represent fall. Valentino also introduced a lot of furs and lace mix and match. I personally am not a fan of furs, but with the lace I fell in love with those two combined. Overall, I hope to see this trend of lace martial and fur combined together for this Fall Season of 2017.

Golden Globe fashion
Happy Monday!
Last night many great actress, singers, public figures, etc all share many great qualities, but one quality that everyone notices is their fashion! Many came with stunning fitted suits and dresses and others came with with loose, flowy dresses, at bit more comfy I would say. I love these types of events where all well known people come together for a night, I would think that they as well love it too, not only for the awards, but I also believe at times to make a statement weather it's they hairstyle, make-up, verbal, etc, but my favorite and they more known one is fashion. Fashion statements have been around since the era of probably the day television was born! I want to say I saw a statement from only 3 women in that night, Evan Rachel Wood, Octavia Spencer, and Kathryn Hahn. What I notice that all rest of the women wore gowns, except these women, all three of them work suits. I think what it inspired them was to fight the cliché of women only allowed to wear gowns, skirts, etc. I personally love suits, many would disagree because they're sexist, but any one can wear anything they feel confident in. Fitted suits on women just bring out the shape of a women's beautiful body. Overall, I think all women should just start dissing the gowns and go for suits!

Fashion in Flight
For more than 85 years the airlines passenger services, hostess, and flight attendant have been dressed in unique outfits to signify their role during the flight. "these often conflicting demands of singularity, diversity, and conformity have created a distinct garment type, one that has penetrated deeply into the social conscience of popular culture while providing fashion designers with remarkable challenges and creative opportunities". These outfits are very distant and eye catching, throughout the years I can see how the skirts are differently are shaped. They started with loose long skirts to now fitted at the knee skirts. For the top part of the uniform it looks slightly similar through out the year, but without looking at the years it was worn I can tell from what era it's from, from just looking at the design. They were based on "styles and trends include nurse-inspired attire, periods of military influence and austerity, the influences of Paris, New York, and Hollywood in the era of cosmopolitan glamour and the jet-set chic of the space age". I think this very interesting, who would've ever thought about bring fashion to the airline? Many designers and fashion contributed in these designs like:
- Christian Dior
- Ralph Lauren
- Jean Louis
- Adolfo
- Marc Bohan
- Yves Saint Laurent

New Year's Resolutions
For the year of 2017, I decided to become more productive, focused, responsible, and selfless. I believe that these attributes will make someone more successful in their daily lives. With that being said, I think I will struggle a lot to reach these goals, but with a strict mind, I know I can reach them. For this class one of my New Year's resolutions is to leave this class creating at least a gown that I've been visioning, I have yet to sketch the design, but, I do have in mind on what I want. Another New Year's resolution is try not to miss too much class time. I feel like last semester I missed too much class time, and I noticed that it impacted my grades. Also, my goal for this semester is to be participate in class discussions more. Overall, those are my New Year's Resolutions.

Where do you think designers find their inspiration? What inspires you?
From watching films, reading magazines, etc. I have found that many designers get their unique inspirations to create a garment from their own personal experiences. Although, at times I feel that designers all have a different perspective in life. For example, if I see a tree, they see a gown that can easily be transformed. Other than that I believe that everyone is different, anyone can get an inspiration from a dream, childhood, memories, tragic events, public figures, naturalistic objects, music, new technology, makeup, etc. For me, I think I don't have the perspective of a designer yet, but I have had seen things that have transformed my vision into art. I really don't have that many inspirations other than public figures on social media. But at times, I've had ideas that look magistical and royal. And I think I get those visions from watching Disney movies and visiting Disneyland for the last past years. Another way I get inspired is from seeing my favorite artist, Lorde, I feel like at times that my wardrobe is inspired by her and as well as my hair and makeup. Overall, I feel like everyone has a different way of finding inspirations.
